Rally for Relay Friday night

The members of the Webster County Relay for Life Luminaria Committee are finishing bags that will line the track during the luminaria ceremony Friday night at NMMC-Eupora. These luminaria bags with a lighted candle inside will be in honor of a cancer survivor or in memory of a loved one lost to cancer. It is really important to fill out a form (obtained at local businesses) and make the $10 donation early so a bag can be prepared. For more information, contact Frances Hyde at 552-0705.

EWHS senior also earns associate’s degree

Dr. Rick Young, president of East Mississippi Community College, congratulates Edwards after commencement. Edwards received her associate’s degree from EMCC Friday through the Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit program. She took online classes through EMCC for the past two years in addition to her high school course work – and she’ll receive her diploma from East Webster High School on Sunday.
