GLC residents enjoy ‘Fiesta’ week

From GLC-Eupora

Residents of Golden LivingCenter-Eupora enjoyed a fun-filled week in May celebrating National Nursing Home Week 2015, "Bring on the Fiesta."

On May 9 the mothers enjoyed their annual Mother’s Day brunch to start the week.
May 11 was the kickoff with a balloon release and Elvis (aka Josh Buford) came to visit.

On May 12 we celebrated with Mexican Hot Chocolate being served in activities. On May 13 we had our weekly bingo game with a little Mexican twist.

On May 14 the residents enjoyed a special treat and were serenaded by a mariachi singer. They enjoyed Mexican drinks along with, of course, chips and salsa.

And on May 15 we concluded with another Fiesta Party and fun and games with staff members and our annual Who’s Who of Golden LivingCenter was announced.
The residents also hosted an open house May 12 for the community to come and tour their newly decorated home. They overly enjoyed watching the staff members dress up for spirit days and decorate their doors Mexican style for the competition that was going on throughout the week.

Throughout the week it was a wonderful, fun-filled, Mexican time for the residents and the staff.
