Only one competitor from Webster County made it to this year’s Mississippi High School Activities Association State Track Meet.

But that one, sophomore Kadasha Bryant of East Webster, turned in a solid performance.

Bryant ventured to Pearl last Saturday to compete in the 200m dash in the MHSAA Class 2A State Meet, where she turned in a fifth-place performance.

Bryant finished the 200m run in 27.56 seconds. She had finished third in the North State Meet the previous week and fourth in the Region 2-2A Meet the previous week.

Strayhorn’s Kadarica Meeks won the 2A state title in the girls’ 200m dash with a time of 25.48 seconds.
