From Church Reports
Crossway Church invites you to revival services this Friday, April 21, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 22, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 23 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Guest Evangelist will be Rev. Timothy “Tim” Cook of Pearl. Bro. Tim pastors Taylor Church of God of Prophecy in Vardaman. He has been in the ministry for 20 years. He and his wife, Jessica, have two children: a son, Jakob (9) and a daughter, Colbie (4).
He has served as youth pastor for eight years and senior pastor for six years while also serving as state youth director of the Mississippi & Regional Youth Council for LA/MS Region for the Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to the ministry, Bro. Tim serves as assistant principal at Pearl Lower Elementary School in Pearl.
Bro. Tim says, “We need an awakening by the Holy Ghost.” Romans 13:11-12, “And that, knowing the time, that NOW it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”
Bro. Tim stated, “The time is NOW. We need to wake up. The world around us is crumbling. The only thing that is going to keep us from crumbling is Jesus Christ. Many are bound and chained by the weights of this world. It’s time for revival! It’s time for us to wake up and move into the presence of the Almighty God where he can change us and transform us.”
Ephesians 2:1-2, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.”
“Isn’t that amazing?” said Bro. Tim. “I was once dead, but I have been awakened by the Spirit of God.”
Acts 2:17, “In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.’”
Bro. Tim concluded, “We need an outpouring in our communities, cities and counties. We need for God to move in our lives. It is my prayer that God would awaken us out of our spiritual slumber.”
Come expecting God to move and to bless. Anointed praise and worship will be led by the Crossway Singers and Musicians along with special music at each service. TGAND (Trust God and Never Doubt) mime team will be the special guest for the 3 p.m. service on Saturday.
This particular service will focus mainly on ministering to the children and youth of this area, however, all ages are encouraged to attend. A time of recreation will follow the youth service in the family life center.
TGAND mime team is a team of brothers and sisters who are completely sold out for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of mime, dance, speaking and preaching the Word of God.
Siblings Jason (14), Jonathan (14) and Faith (16) all received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at a young age. They are active members of the Greater New Liberty Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Darrell K. Shack. They are all honor students at FPA Academy in Memphis, Tennessee. They are young people who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Please, make plans to join us as we come together to worship God together this weekend and let’s see the foundation of this county and surrounding communities transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost!
