Insurance agency owner Sandra Dewberry of Eupora has secured a $1,000 grant to support Eupora Arts Inc.’s efforts to create art events within the community for children and adults.
A longtime volunteer with Eupora Arts Inc., she joins agency owners affiliated with Allstate around the country who care for their communities by supporting important local causes.
“As a small business owner in Eupora, I see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing our area,” Dewberry said. “Giving back to my local community is tremendously rewarding and gives me a sense of purpose. I believe that when we help others, our communities are stronger and healthier, which is why I’m proud to support Eupora Arts Inc.’s work.”
Eupora Arts Inc. is one of 3,500 organizations this year that will receive The Allstate Foundation Helping Hands in the Community grants secured by agency owners on behalf of organizations for which they volunteer.
The grants support nonprofits focused on empowering youth, teen safe driving, disaster preparedness, hunger and other causes. This year, the foundation will grant up to $7.5 million to nonprofits across the country.
