The Mathiston Public Library is closed for the Thanksgiving holidays through Nov. 26.
It will also be closed for the Christmas-New Year holidays from Dec. 20-Jan. 2. Patrons are asked to stock up on their reading materials before the latter dates and to renew any materials that come due during them.

The Eupora Christmas Parade will be at 5 p.m. Dec. 3. The theme is “The Christmas Star” and Billy Hill will serve as the grand marshal.
There is no entry fee, and first-, second- and third-place floats will receive cash awards from the Eupora Rotary Club, sponsor.
Entry forms are available at The Webster Progress-Times (58 N. Dunn), City Hall (390 W. Clark Ave.) and from any Rotarian. Please return completed forms to either location or a Rotarian by 5 p.m. Dec. 1. If any questions, call 258-3109.
Parade entries should be at the lineup location (Fox/Clark Avenue) by 4 p.m. parade day.
The Mantee Christmas Parade will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 8. Soup will be served in the Community Center from 5-6:30 p.m.
Eupora Chapter #261 Order of the Eastern Star is now taking cheese orders for Christmas 2016.
The local chapter keeps the cheese available for sale 12 months of each calendar year for one of our fundraising annual projects. We are taking the Christmas orders now so that we don’t run low on our supply.
Christmas orders need to be placed as early as possible so we can get your name on the list. The latest possible date for special Christmas orders 2016 is Dec. 10.

Storytime at Webster County Library in Eupora is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Pat Ray entertains the children with songs, stories and crafts. Children ages 2-5 are invited to attend.
