Boston butt sale Eupora Lodge #423
Eupora Lodge #423 will have a Boston butt sale May 28 from noon-2 p.m. This will be an ideal time for your Memorial Day weekend meals. The price will be $30. Faulkenbery Adoption Fund yard sale
A yard sale with all proceeds going to the Faulkenbery Adoption Fund will be June 4 beginning at 8 a.m. across from Los Encinos Mexican Grill on Highway 9 South in Eupora. This is a multifamily sale with all clothes $1. Furniture and miscellaneous items will also be available.
Benefit for Gwen Woods Sisson
A benefit for Gwen Woods Sisson will be held from 2-5 p.m. June 4 at the Masonic Lodge, hosted by Fellowship Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. Gwen was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in August. She has had one round of chemotherapy, followed by surgery in November. It was discovered that the cancer metastasized to her liver and she in undergoing a second round of chemotherapy in Starkville. Chicken plates will be $7. Boston butts will sell for $25. There will be a bake sale and an auction. For all donations raised at this event, Modern Woodmen of the World will match, up to $25,000. Webster County Library summer reading program
Webster County Public Library ‘s summer reading program will kick off June 7 at 1:30 p.m. with a visit from Freedom Ranch out of Hattiesburg. This will be an engaging and educational encounter with native birds of prey, fantastic pictures and a dash of comic relief from a few other critters. Each Tuesday a new program will be presented by different volunteers using the theme “On Your Mark, Get Set … READ!” Children ages 6-10 are invited to come to the library for a fun-filled June. Ages 2- 5 (preschool) will have a program each Wednesday in June at 10:30 a.m. with M. Pat Ray.
Simeon Calvin Oswalt and Girtie Hubbard Oswalt descendants are invited to a family reunion at the Woodmen of the World lodge in Eupora on June 11.
