A 58-year-old Calhoun City man was killed in a one-car wreck last week north of Bellefontaine near the Webster/Calhoun County line.

Jack Dee Sims was driving a white 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo southbound on Highway 9 when he left the roadway and collided with a culvert, Mississippi Highway Patrol Master Sgt. Criss Turnipseed said in a news release.

After impact the vehicle flipped and landed on its roof, according to Turnipseed. He said Sims, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster County coroner. The car had no other occupants.
