The GFWC/MFWC Eupora 20th Century Club presented 500 handmade puppets to North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora ER staff on Monday.

Beginning in December, these puppets will be given to children treated at the hospital, while the supply lasts.

The puppet project sponsored by the Eupora 20th Century Club is a community effort by club members, NMMC Voluntary Auxiliary and caring individuals in the community.

These caring people recognize being sick can be frightening to a child and want them to know their community cares about them.
