From Press Reports
Choctaw, Montgomery and Webster Counties in Mississippi will host a Governor’s Job Fair at the Choctaw County Community Center in Ackerman, announced Adam Todd, director of the Governor’s Job Fair Network.
The Oct. 29 job fair is free to the public, and doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 1 p.m. All employers must have jobs and job opportunities will be available in many different fields.
Some important tips for job candidates are: dress for success, bring plenty of resumes, be prepared for onsite interviews, come with a positive attitude and make arrangements for childcare before attending the job fair.
“This job fair is a joint effort with county, city and local partners to create more job opportunities for citizens in and around these three counties,” Todd stated.
Registration with lunch for employers is $80 with some booths still available. Businesses still looking to register for the job fair can register online at jobsfairs.ms.gov, where more information will be provided.
Any job applicant who preregisters will gain access into the job fair 30 minutes before the event begins. Go to the Job Candidate Registration link at jobfairs.ms.gov to receive your printable 30-minute early-admittance ticket for this or other upcoming job fairs.
