Maben Library has ‘Easter Eggs Everywhere!’

It was a rainy day at the Maben Public Library’s Storytime on March 20. Our story was naturally about Easter — “Easter Eggs Everywhere!” by Steve Metzer.

The Easter bunny had overslept. It was the day before Easter and he had so many eggs to paint that he would not have time to do them all before Easter morning.

A fox came by and sold him an egg-o-matic machine that would do them really fast. The Easter bunny was glad to get the machine because he had a big pile of eggs to paint.

The first few were really pretty eggs, but by the ninth egg, it was a little bumpy and the 10th was lumpy. By the time the next ones came through, one was square and some were pointy and we all know that eggs are oval shaped.

Some of bunny’s friends came by and they saw the mess. They helped him clean up and they stayed up all night helping him paint the most beautiful eggs you had ever seen.

They packed the Easter basket with eggs with polka dots, stripes, flowers, swirls and stars. Easter joy was spread to all the boys and girls as the rabbit hippity-hopped on his way!
