The Webster County Sheriff’s Department and cooperating law enforcement agencies made three felony drug arrests last week.
The WCSD, with the partnership of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the assistance of the Eupora Police Department, made the arrests the night of Aug. 28 while serving seven narcotics warrants. One vehicle was seized during the operation, according to a news release.
Those arrested by the sheriff’s office and MBN, and their charges, were Eikeren Hill, 39, for three counts of sale of cocaine; Bonita Pittman, 53 for sale of marijuana; and Huey Yates, 51, for sale of cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana.
Sheriff Tim Mitchell said this was an ongoing investigation for months and more arrests are expected. He thanked the Eupora PD for its assistance in the operation.
Also last Thursday night, Eupora PD officers arrested and charged Larry McMillian of 130 Westwood Drive with possession of whiskey and beer. They arrested McMillian, 64, while assisting the other two law enforcement agencies serve the warrant on Hill for sale of cocaine.
“Hill was at the Larry McMillian establishment, where officers discovered a large amount of alcohol,” the EPD posted on its Facebook page.
McMillian posted a $500 bond that night, and the other three have also been released on bond, which was set at $10,000 each for Hill and Yates, and $5,000 for Pittman.
