Get ready for an incredible week to learn more about the extraordinary love of Jesus as part of First Baptist Church of Eupora’s Weird Animals Vacation Bible School.
An exciting week of fun-filled adventure will begin with a special kickoff registration celebration from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Department of Human Services lot on Highway 9 South. Jumpers, cotton candy and a whole lot more will be free for all those who would like to register for FBC Eupora’s Vacation Bible School.
VBS will be July 6-11 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. with supper served each night. Friday night will be Family Night and the winners of the Operation Kid-to-Kid contest will be announced.
“Vacation Bible School is almost here,” said FBC Eupora Children’s Director Anita Russell. “I always look forward to seeing old faces and meeting new people. This year is going to be so exciting as were learn about ‘Weird Animals — Where Jesus’ Love is One-Of-A-Kind’ I hope you will all come join us for a fun time!”
Weird Animals Vacation Bible School teaches that “God filled the world with a lot of crazy creatures … including kids! When kids feel weird, different, or lost in a crowd—nothing compares to the extraordinary love of Jesus.”
“I can’t wait to spend a whole week with these kids,” said FBC Eupora Students Minister Kevin Barnette. “I think that the title of the week is very fitting!”
According to Weird Animals Vacation Bible School, “kids experience God’s Word in surprising and unforgettable ways! Each day, leaders reinforce one simple Bible truth —which makes it easy for kids to remember and apply to real life!”
FBC Eupora’s the Rev. Travis Gray said summer is an exciting time of all school-aged children, but one of the most exciting, if not the most exciting event, is Vacation Bible School.
“It is a week that can drastically impact a child’s life for eternity,” Gray said. “I pray that parents see the importance of training up their children in the way they should go. Nothing is more important than learning the truth of God’s word. That is our goal at Vacation Bible School. I hope to see your child at Vacation Bible School.”
One of the special aspects of VBS at FBC Eupora each year is the missions offering. The boys compete with the girls to raise the most money for the designated mission project. As part of this year’s VBS, the mission project will be Operation Kid-To-Kid’s program with World Vision to providing clean water for school children in India. Just $2.50 is enough for a child in India to have clean water for a year at school.
On Friday, parents are invited to join the fun of the final program for Family Night. At that time, the winners of the missions competition will be revealed. What will happen to the person that represents the losing group? Find out Friday, July 11!
To pre-register for Vacation Bible School, please attend the kickoff celebration from 3-5 p.m. Saturday in the DHS lot or stop by FBC Eupora Sunday at 5 p.m. to register before the fun begins!
