Club presents seeds to veteran

By Controllers Generation II 4-H Club

It’s time for fun in the sun and Mr. Jeffery Grant, West Oktibbeha High School principal, is really excited.
No, he is not planning to go on a long vacation but he is excited about planting a garden. Grant served over 13 years in the U.S. Army and is a member of the American Legion.

Akeah Graham of the Controllers Generation II 4-H Club presents seeds to Grant. Joining them are Aleah and Rose Graham, club leader.

The Controllers Generation II 4-H Club presented him 12 packets of seeds and a recipe booklet on behalf of Burpee Welcome Home Garden for our heroes.
This is the third year George Ball, chairman and chief executive officer of W. Atlee Burpee and Co., has reached out to veterans. A special thanks to all our heroes for the sacrifice endured by you and your family.
Grant plans to share the items he grows with his people in his community. For further information, contact Rose Coffey Graham at 242-7962.
