Gibson visits Mathiston Library SRP

For the WPT

The Mathiston Library has had a great start to its Summer Reading Program.
Last week, Chief Meteorologist Keith Gibson from WCBI came to talk to the children. He demonstrated making a cloud in a bottle, which was awesome to see, and we watched clips of tornadoes while he talked about storm safety.

Afterwards we had a rainbow craft and snacks. We had a great turnout and want to thank you for bringing your children!
This week on Thursday, June 26 at 1 p.m., Dr. Brandy Westmoreland will be speaking to the children on animals and their care.
Because of the Fourth of July and ballgames, our last program will be July 2 at 1 p.m. with the Mathiston Fire Department. Wear something that can be gotten wet. You never know when the fire hose will get to acting crazy. We will have crafts and snacks for all programs.
