Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Dodd Weeks, 79, retired Florist and Homemaker, died 5/5/14 at the North Ms. Medical Center in Eupora, Ms. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Thursday 5/8/14 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster County. David Murphy, Bro. Sam Dodd, and Bro. James Hill officiated. Music was
provided by Lydia Cain, Alton Blanton, Ann Pfifer and Joe Johnson. Pallbearers were; James Mitchell, Adam Burton, Marvin Weeks, Chris Tollison, Henry Robertson and Greg May, Honorary Pallbearers were; Dr. Leon Wilson, Lee (Goob) Lamb, Bruce Walters, Dr. Charles Ozborn, Frank Boatman, Will Gary, Ozborn Clinic Staff and Respiratory Therapy Staff. Visitation was held Wednesday 5/7/14, 6:00PM until 9:00PM at the funeral home. Dot was a member of the Montevista Baptist Church in the Montevista Community. She is survived by five daughters; Sheila Tucker, Pearl, Ms., Lisa Threet, Eupora, Ms., Leigh McLendon, Mendenhall, Ms., Lori Proctor, Hatchville, Ma., and Lana Hitt, Eupora, Ms., a sister; Dianne Smith, Ardmore, Ok., eighteen grandchildren and step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and a host of people who called Dot “Nanny” or “Mama”. She was preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Loutee Ward, sister: Billie Earnest and husbands; Nelson Dodd and C. B. Weeks.
