Obituary – William “Earl” Eidson

Mr. William “Earl” Eidson, 49, died 4/8/14 at his home in Nesbit Ms. Funeral Services were held 3:00PM Sunday 4/13/14 at the Friendship Church of Christ in Olive Branch, Ms. and 3:00PM Monday 4/14/14 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, Ms. Bro. Johnny Lollar and Bro. Roger Miller officiated the Eupora services. He is survived by his wife; Allison Eidson, Nesbit, Ms., a daughter; Claudia Dean Eidson, Nesbit, Ms., his mother; Helen Kennedy Eidson, Mathiston, Ms., a sister; Mary Ellen (Jay) Edge, Richmond, Tx., and a brother; Danny (Brenda) Eidson, Fairfield Bay Ar.. He was preceded in death by his father William Maloy “Bill” Eidson. Earl loved all things outdoors and enjoyed careers at Sportsman Warehouse and Avery Outdoor, following a long stint with law enforcement, which included Mississippi State University Police Dept. and Starkville Police Dept. where he was an officer, Oktibbeha County Hospital (director of security) and Sam’s Town (officer). He loved to cook and make his friends happy with food and was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of owning a restaurant when he opened PigOut Barbeque & Smokehouse in Nesbit in 2009. He was often known to give away his “secret” recipes and throw in extra samples. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando Ms. and Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora, Ms. were in charge of all arrangements.
