Lady Eagles take shutout win over Grenada

After suffering a 10-0 region loss to Bruce on Thursday, the Lady Eagles of Eupora High School bounced back to take a 3-0 win over visiting Grenada in a non-league contest on Tuesday.

Next up for Eupora is a road region contest against rival East Webster today (Thursday), then a road trip to Neshoba Central High School in Philadelphia on Saturday where EHS will face Meridian and Starkville.

Sidney Bailey picked up the complete game win in the circle for Eupora against Grenada, while Hannah McDowell and Emily Littlejohn had two hits each for the Lady Eagles. Delta Newman drove in two runs for the winners, while Kylie Richardson also had an RBI.

Eupora took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, then added an insurance run in the fourth.

Eupora trailed Bruce 1-0 going into the bottom of the fourth last Thursday, before the Lady Trojans hit for seven runs in the fourth and then added two more in the fifth to take the win by the run rule.

McDowell had two hits for Eupora in the game, while Jalisa Bell, Kaitlin Burton and Richardson had a walk each.
