The Lady Wolverines suffered their first loss of the season last week, but are focusing on the future as they prepare to open region play on Tuesday when they play host to Calhoun City. EW dropped a 7-6 decision to Houston in the Vardaman Tournament last Thursday, and were also scheduled to play Charleston that day. No score was reported from that game. The Lady Wolverines scored five runs in the second inning and held a 6-2 lead before Houston hit for five in the forth to take the win behind 11 hits. EW had five hits in the game. East Webster was set to host South Pontotoc today (Thursday) before taking part in the Houston Tournament on Saturday. Next week sees EW hosting Calhoun City on Tuesday and visiting Winona on Thursday. No other information on the East Webster softball team was available before deadline.
