Mugshots fund-raiser for Relay
Mugshots Grill & Bar will be at Nabors Home Center-Eupora from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. March 7. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Webster County and the American Cancer Society.
A regular Mugshots burger, chips, cookie and drink are available for $9. Orders of 12 or more can be delivered.

A gospel music jamboree will be at 6 p.m. March 8 at the Gore Springs Community Center. Admission is $5.
Performing will be Promised Land of Alabama, Servants Quartet of Tennessee, Witness 4 Him of Alabama and Longtime Coming.
Anyone can “snap” a picture, but only a good photographer can make a lifelike portrait. A photography workshop will be March 13 at the Depot from 1-4 p.m. The workshop is for youth ages 8-13.
Youth will learn the art of making pictures. Participants will need to bring a digital camera to the workshop. They will have the opportunity to take pictures and go through the selection process.

Beau Powell, park and recreation director for the city of Eupora, announces that baseball and softball summer city league registration is under way through March 14 at Eupora City Hall.
Short-term classes at HCC-Grenada
The Grenada campus of Holmes Community College begins a new session of learning March 17 with a lineup of eight-week courses that end May 9. Registration has already begun.
Daytime courses to be taught Mondays through Thursdays are American History II, Calculus III, College Algebra and Intermediate Algebra.

The Civic League of Mathiston is having a family portrait fundraiser.

These digital files will be uploaded to a server and shared both locally in the community and globally with people researching their Mississippi heritage. This is a great way to learn more about using an iPad for more than just checking email iPads will be provided!
GFWC 20th Century Club of Ackerman is sponsoring a 5K run to benefit wounded warriors on March 29 at 8 a.m. and a kids’ fun run at 9 a.m. in downtown Ackerman.

City testing storm sirens
The city of Eupora is testing its severe weather sirens each Saturday at noon through the month of April unless severe weather threatens. The duration of the tests will be approximately two-three minutes.
