W.H. ‘Billy’

Blain Jr.

Services for W. H. “Billy” Blain Jr., 89, of Kilmichael were Dec. 18, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona with the Rev. Gary Jackson officiating. Burial was in Greensboro Cemetery.

He was born in Eupora on Jan.18, 1924, to the late W. H. “Boots” and Mary James Tabor Blain. Mr. Blain was a retired brakeman for the Illinois Central Railroad, a U. S.

Army veteran of World War II and a member of Kilmichael Baptist Church. He died Dec. 15, 2013, at his residence.

Survivors include a son, Tom Blain of Gainesville, Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Orr of Tomnolen and Mary Lamb of Natchez; and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Greensboro Cemetery Fund.

Myra A.

‘Budney’ Henson

Services for Myra A. “Budney” Henson, 73, were Dec. 24, 2013, at New Haven Baptist Church near Weir with the Rev. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Choctaw County. Mrs. Henson was a bus driver and assistant teacher for the Choctaw County School District, and a member of New Haven Baptist Church. She died Dec. 21, 2013, at her residence near Weir.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Wayne “Poss” Henson of Weir; a son, Mary Henson of Weir; a daughter, Gay Henson of Flowood; three brothers, David Simpson of Huntsville, Ala., Junior Simpson of Eupora and Woody Simpson of Ackerman; five sisters, Cheryl Bell of Ethel, Jean Farley of Eupora, Debbie Gupton of New Orleans, Gail Saski of Purvis and Ellen Wright of Plano, Texas; her mother, Daisy Blackwood Lollar of Eupora; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Adelyn Love Leggett

Services for Adelyn Love Leggett, 2 months, of Eupora were Dec. 29, 2013, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Mathiston with the Rev. Ralph Cain officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born Oct. 24, 2013, in Columbus. Adelyn died Dec. 26, 2013, at University Medical Center in Jackson.

Survivors include her parents, Chris and Kayla Washington Leggett; a brother, Rydder Lowrey; a sister, Denny Kaylynn Lowrey, all of Eupora; her maternal grandparents, Michael and Kathy Washington of Columbia, La., and Tammy Woolsey of Herbert, La; and her paternal grandmother, Teresa Kay Ford.
