From Press Reports
The 17th annual Magnolia Independent Film Festival will take place Feb. 20-22 at Hollywood Premier Cinemas in Starkville as a showcase venue for independent filmmakers.
The Magnolia Independent Film Festival was created in 1997 by Ron Tibbett. It is the first film festival to be held in Mississippi and now attracts filmmakers from around the world. The festival strives to provide the Golden Triangle community with an opportunity to experience the films of many talented filmmakers.
The 2014 festival will feature workshops by award winning filmmaker Patricia Chica as well as her hit film “Ceramic Tango.” The festival will also include a student film division sponsored by the United Way of North Central Mississippi.
This division is open to all aspiring film makers who are high school or college students.
Festival Chair Angella Baker says “We are very excited about the festival and hope that everyone will come out and enjoy it”.
