EWHS cheerleaders win state championship

From School Reports

East Webster High School cheerleaders competed in the MHSAA State Cheerleading Competition on Dec. 14.

They competed in Small Non-tumbling Division I against 11 other teams. The girls performed well and brought home another state championship and a bid to UCA Nationals.

This is the second consecutive state championship for this team. It is the sixth overall state cheerleading championship for East Webster.

The routine was choreographed by Trey Griffin and the team is coached by Shawna Williams.

“The team’s 10 seniors helped capture this victory,” stated a school representative. “We are very proud of this group of girls.”
