Fire units respond to multi-fire call

From Staff Reports

Walthall and Eupora fire departments responded to a mobile home, vehicle and woods fire, all in one call, on Old Walthall Road last month.

The fires occurred at a residence between Crowell Road and Highway 50, and were reported around 11 a.m. Nov. 20. Walthall Fire Chief Casey Henderson said the property owners were burning a brush pile and the fire got out of hand.

No one was living in the home, which was a total loss, and no injuries were reported at the fire scene.

Units on scene were Eupora Engine 391, Walthall Engine 6, Walthall Rescue 6, Walthall Truck 6, Webster County Sheriff’s Department and Natchez Trace EPA.
