Wise-Reed Funeral Home has ribbon cutting

Willie and Angela Reed announce that they are the proud new owners of Wise Funeral Home, now to be known as Wise-Reed Funeral Home.

Both Willie and Angela are natives of Webster County with two daughters, Mattelyn Brooke and Alana Reed. Willie is the son of Bill and Gail Reed and Angela is the daughter of Jerry and Shirley Pollan.

Ribbon cutting for Wise-Reed Funeral Home was Nov. 5. The Revs. Trey Harper and James Hill opened the ceremony with prayer and encouragement. After the prayers Mayor Dan Burchfield expressed his happiness of a new business starting in a small community. He thanked Willie and Angela for having the courage to invest in the area by establishing a business here.

In attendance at the ribbon cutting were Willie and Angela Reed, Jerry and Shirley Pollan, Bill and Gail Reed, the Revs. Trey Harper and James Hill, Mayor Dan Burchfield, Alderman Robert Gibbs, Alderman Junior Shaw, Caroline Browder, Gwenn Rico, Shirley Gary, Janice Gary, Jacqueline Meek, Martha Lou Ballard, Stan Blaylock and Kevin and Devin Hitt.

Willie stated, “We are looking forward to serving our community by celebrating the life and love of each person we care for. By bringing affordable funerals to everyone in need, we hope to make difficult times a little easier.” Visitors are encouraged to come by and see the renovations being made to the buildings and décor.
