Services for Daisy Quiller Bakeman, 78, of Eupora were Oct. 30, 2013, at Kilmichael Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Wills and Gary Jackson officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael.
She was born April 7, 1935, in Coffee Springs, Ala., to the late Cletus E. and Lossie Phillips Quiller. Mrs. Bakeman worked as a nurse’s aide most of her working life. She was a member of Blessed Assurance Temple Church in Bartow, Fla. She died Oct. 26, 2013, at NMMC Long Term Care in Eupora.
Survivors include two sons: Billy Joe Simmons of Fruitland, Fla., and Doug Simmons of Albertville, Ala.; four daughters: Kathy Denley of Eupora, Sally Woods of Kilmichael, Anna Coker of Cartersville, Ga., and April Gibson of Kilmichael; two sisters Marie Starling of Bartow and Shirley Holton of Midville, Ga.; a brother Herbert Quiller of Lake Wales, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Beam, Dakota Coker, Devon Coker, Brad Denley, Glen Denley, Timothy Denley, William Denley, Jonathan Lowery, Timothy Lowery.
Wise Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.

Services for Emmett W. Carr, 76, of Ackerman were Nov. 6, 2013 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman with the Rev. Guyton Montgomery officiating.
He was born April 15, 1937, in Choctaw County to the late William B. and Lois Power Carr. Mr. Carr was a carpenter and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Ackerman Church of Christ. He died Nov. 3, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ballard Carr of Ackerman; a son, Mark Bridges of Jackson; two daughters, Amanda Benefield of Oklahoma City and Cindy Lambert of Alexandria, Tenn.; a brother, Bill Carr of Ackerman; two sisters, June Goodwin of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Ann Martin of Harrison, Ark.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Ackerman Church of Christ or Sunnybrook Children’s Home.

Services for Marilyn Devine, 74, of Stewart were Nov. 8, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Nathan Wright officiating. Burial was in Milligan Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Devine was a homemaker. She died Nov. 5, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.
Survivors include a son, Jim Devine of Kilmichael; three daughters, Janice Jones of Stewart, Brittany Dodd of Eupora and Lisa Gillon of French Camp; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bruce Dean, Eddie Dodd, D.J. Green, Justin Harper, Luke Jones and Leonard Woods.
Clinton Dudley Pittman

Services for Clinton Dudley Pittman, 92, of Ackerman were Nov. 10, 2013, at Ackerman Church of Christ with the Revs. Jimmy Dudley and Guyton Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Antioch Methodist Cemetery in Reform.
He was born June 19, 1921, in Sunflower County to the late Bryan W. and Mintie Dudley Pittman. Mr. Pittman was a retired heave equipment salesman, member of Ackerman Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He died Nov. 7, 2013, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw in Ackerman.
Survivors include a son, Bryan Pittman of Tupelo; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Ackerman Church of Christ.
Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.
