Two men have been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing that occurred last week in Eupora.
William K. “Bill” Chism, 45, and his son, Keith Chism , 27, were charged Nov. 5 with aggravated assault-use of a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from an altercation that occurred about 5 p.m. Nov. 4 in the parking lot of A Treasure in Heaven on Latham Avenue just west of Veterans Memorial Boulevard South.
Police Chief Gregg Hunter said Billy Fisackerly, 23, was stabbed during the fight. He was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo and discharged the next day. Bill Chism was treated at NMMC-Eupora for treatment of wounds he received during the altercation, according to Hunter.
Fisackerly alleges in affidavits that Keith Chism stabbed him with a knife in the right back area and that Bill Chism stabbed at him with a knife.
The Chisms were released from the Webster County Jail on $2,500 bonds and are scheduled to appear in Eupora Municipal Court on Tuesday.
