WCTS Blue Devils have historic legacy

From Staff Reports

Some of the older generations of Webster County residents remember the days of the Webster County Training School, which was previously located at what is now Eupora Elementary School.

The athletes that attended the school during the time played a critical part in the historic legacy of sports in Eupora.

The accompanying photo is of the 1969-70 Webster County Training School Blue Devils basketball team, which was the state basketball champion for that school year. Today, its championship trophy is located in the halls of Eupora Elementary School for all to see.
