Maben Church

of God

Maben Church of God will be selling barbecue plates from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 8 and 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 9.

Plates are $7 each and will consist of barbecue, slaw, baked beans, bun and tea. The fundraiser is for a tent revival coming to Maben in June with Bro. Gerald Crabb.

The church, which is located at 3965 Crowley Drive in Maben, will deliver if several plates are ordered. For more information call 662-722-0531 or 662-418-2859.

Highways & Hedges

Revival with the Rev. Robert Chumley from Atoka, Tenn., will be Nov. 13-15 at Highways & Hedges Worship Center. Services will be at 7 nightly and will include prayer for the sick.

Chuck Wagon

Gang concert

The Chuck Wagon Gang will be appearing at First Baptist Church in Eupora at 7 p.m. Nov. 15. Opening for the Gang at 6:30 p.m. will be Southern Image Quartet of Plantersville. A love offering will be received.

Operation

Christmas Child

Mathiston First Baptist Church is the dropoff center for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.

“We collected 3,090 shoeboxes last year,” stated Faye Y. Dewberry of Mathiston FBC. “Let’s make it 3,200 this year. Share God’s love to a child through your shoeboxes.”

Collection week is Nov. 18-24: Monday, 8 a.m-4 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m.-noon; Wednesday, 3-6 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon and Sunday, 1-3 p.m.
