Jean Anderson

Services for Jean Lamb Anderson, 85 of Vernon, Ala., were Oct. 25, 2013, at Montevista Baptist Church in Eupora with Jason Delgado and Brandon Criswell officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Blytheville, Ark., to the late Bert and Jewell Lamb. Mrs. Anderson was a business owner. She died Oct. 21, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. James B. Anderson III of Columbus, Jerry Anderson of Fort Davis, Texas, and Joel Anderson of Eupora; a daughter, Jeanette Herron of Vernon, Ala.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon was in charge of arrangements.

 

Kate Dell Frazier

Oct. 25, 2013

Graveside services for Kate Dell Frazer, 98, of Columbus were Oct. 30, 2013, at Sturgis Cemetery with the Rev. Robert T. Wilbur officiating.

She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Crawford. Mrs. Frazier, a homemaker, was a member of Bevils Hill Methodist Church. She died Oct. 25, 2013, at Windsor Place in Columbus.

Survivors include a son, Frank Frazier of Columbus; a daughter, Frances Goode of West Point; a sister, Sadie Brewer of Columbus; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Timber Lake Ministries, P.O. Box 466, Millport, AL 35576-0466.

Bonnie Sue

Lovelace-Spence

Oct. 22, 2013

Services for Bonnie Sue Lovelace-Spence, 75, were Oct. 24, 2013, at LaGrange United Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born May 18, 1938, and reared in Choctaw County. Mrs. Spence lived in the Memphis area most of her adult life. She was employed at Kimberly-Clark, as a photographer for Olan Mills and as a Realtor at Stewart Realty. She also was employed at Harrah’s Casino in Tunica for 10 years before her retirement. She died Oct. 22, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven.

Survivors include two sons, James D. Hill and Richard C. Hill; an adopted daughter, Juana Adkins-Reece of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruth Ross of Savannah, Ga., and Jeane Gosa of Dallas; three grandchildren and five great-grandsons.

Wise Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.

 

James Neal Nail

Oct. 18, 2013

Services for James Neal Nail, 19, of Stewart were Oct 30, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Rev. Josh Bingham and Coach Brent King officiating. Burial was in Crape Creek Cemetery in Choctaw County.

Mr. Nail graduated from Weir High School in 2012 and worked at Nail Roofing. He died Oct. 18, 2013, in Stewart.

Survivors include his mother, Violia Bramlett Butler of Stewart; his father, James W. Nail of Stewart; three sisters, Kayla Day. Korrel Butler and Krystal Butler of Stewart, and Paisley Nail of Mathiston; a brother, Bo Nail of Stewart; and his grandmother, Linda Nail of Stewart.

Pallbearers were Morgan Day, Joey Hunt, Austin Leach, Joey Wade, Eric Yeatman and Heath Yeatman.

 

Dorene Stafford

Graveside services for Ethel Dorene Stafford, 75, of Eupora were Oct. 22, 2013, at McCurtains Creek Cemetery in Choctaw County with the Rev. Joe Shurden officiating.

She was born April 30, 1938, to the late William and Ethel Jones Bright. Mrs. Stafford worked at Bryan Foods in West Point and was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church. She died Oct. 19, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Collier Lum of Eupora; a son, Gene McMinn of Tupelo; a brother, Johnny Bright of Arkansas; one grandson and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Donald Bright, Keith Bright, Lamar Bright, Michael Bright, Chres Collier and Henry Collier.
