From Press Reports
Founded and chartered in 1994, the Mississippi 911 Coordinators Association was formed to serve the interest of 911 systems and all related matters concerning 911 in the state of Mississippi.
The association provides opportunities for continuing education for directors and dispatchers through the Mississippi Board of Standards and Training.
This association works closely with the state Legislature, Public Service Commission, Board of Standards and Training, and public and private phone companies. It also works with companies that supply equipment and supplies to strengthen and promote the 911 systems in Mississippi.
On Oct. 16, the executive board of the Mississippi 911 Coordinators Association held its annual business meeting in Tunica. During the election process for association officers, Webster County 911 Director Jimmy McLemore was elected to serve on the executive board for the coming year.
“It is a privilege and an honor to be elected to the Mississippi 911 Coordinators Association board,” McLemore said. “I will work hard to promote 911 in the state while continuing to make Webster County 911 communications center one of the best in the state.”
