Hunger knows no season

From Press Reports

Filling the local food pantry is especially hard during the holiday season. Food collected during the Hunger Knows No Season food drive period remains in Webster County by going to the local food bank.

In order to get more county participation, the Webster County Extension Service staff developed the program “Hunger Knows No Season.” The four county schools participate.

Information flyers were distributed to schools detailing the contest.  Each week for four weeks leading up to the contest, a flyer describing global, national, state and county agricultural issues were distributed to each student.

2013 collections will be made the week of Nov. 11-15. Help your school win the trophy by sending in your donations!

For more information, contact Lisa Stewart at 258-3971 at the Webster County Extension office.
