Eddie James’ worship and dance team, Excalibur, will perform at the Main Street Block Party hosted by World Harvest Outreach Ministries in Eupora at 6 p.m. Oct. 19.

Recording artist, worship leader and songwriter Eddie James has written and sang many songs such as “I Am,” “Freedom” and “Lion of Judah” that are popular and now widely used in churches of all denominations. With his songs being especially popular among the youth and younger generations, he has devoted his life to ministering to those that have been bound by drugs, alcohol and other addictions.

He has ministered with Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter’s House, Mega Fest, Rod Parsley, Judy Jacobs, singer of “Days of Elijah,” and conducted many conferences with the Church of God such as Winter Fest, Summer Fest and Ski Invasions. He also hosts the popular Shift 300 Conference for dance and worship teams. James has also made appearances on Trinity Broadcasting Network and Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural.”

In 2005, under the Eddie James Ministries, a group named Excalibur was established to awaken the church and reach the lost. The group, using dance, drama, worship and Christian rap, set out to proclaim the Word of God.

The name “Excalibur” derives from the story of King Arthur and his sword. Excalibur signifies that we are a sword in the hand of God and are held by One and only One. A sword lays powerless and useless, unless one takes it up and yields to its power.

Excalibur will not be held by man or religion, but is held by the Lord and the strength of his arm and grip of his hand. This group has ministered along with James and also alone at Karen Wheaton’s The Ramp, TBN, Jakes’ The Potter’s House, Shabbach, Pastor Tommy Barnett, Phoenix First Assembly of God, as well as Church of God conferences.

World Harvest is proud to present Excalibur as a celebration of its one year in the ministry. Admission is free and food vendors will be available. Children, youth and families are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to come out and celebrate with us. Inflatable jumpers, popcorn, face painting and cotton candy will also be available.

Excalibur will also be ministering in the Oct. 20 anniversary service at World Harvest located at 14025 MS Hwy. 82 E., Eupora at 3 p.m. If you would like more information on this event or the church’s ministries and anniversary, please call 662-744-5240.
