English students get medieval

From School Reports

Lyn Blaylock’s English IV classes at Eupora High School participated in a unit of study of medieval literature in September.

During this unit of study the students learned about the history of King Arthur and the knights, real world history about medieval times, the “Doomsday Book” written by William the Conqueror, “The Canterbury Tales” and Chaucer.

Some activities included in the unit were watching a movie, “First Knight”; reading “The Day of Destiny” and “The Canterbury Tales”; designing, creating and making a suit of armor; and preparing and enjoying a medieval feast.
