From Press Reports
The Webster County School District is participating in an ongoing statewide effort to locate, identify and evaluate children age birth through 21 who are physically, mentally, communicatively, emotionally and /or severely/profound handicapped.
Early identification of children in need of special education experiences is most important to each child. For those children who are under 3 years of age, district personnel will assist parents in finding help for the children until he/she becomes school age.
Information gathered from contacts with parents and other agencies will be used to help determine present and future program needs as progress is made toward the goal of providing a free appropriate education to all handicapped students.
If you know of any child in need of special education services, please contact Dr. Wanda Porter, district child find director, by writing her at 95 Clarke Ave., Eupora, MS 39744 or calling 258-2854 extension 12.
