Harold Gary of Brookhaven was elected to the national board of directors of the National Rural Rehabilitation Corp. at the annual conference in Des Moines, Iowa.
He also serves as vice president of the Mississippi Rural Rehabilitation Corp. This corporation is actively involved in lending money to farmers and ranchers to acquire additional farmland to increase rural American standard of living.
Gary, who grew up in Webster County’s Springhill community, is a graduate of Mississippi State University and is a retiree from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He is active in civic activities and the Lincoln County Republican Party. He is also active in promoting agriculture throughout the state. Gary is a tree farmer in north Mississippi and promotes proper conservation practices.
Gary also serves on the board of directors of the Pearl River Basin Development District, Southwest Mississippi Resource Conservation and Development Council, and advisory boards of First Bank and the Forestry Association.
