Maben Farmers’ Market
In addition to the pictured vendors the Maben Market on Saturday welcomed Myrna Crittenden of Eupora, who brought handmade soaps, colloidal silver, THRIVE survival fruits and vegetables, and home-canned fruit spreads.
Renae Maddox brought 12 dozen fresh eggs. Danny Akers brought his smoker and stayed after the market to serve barbecue plates with chicken or pulled pork , slaw and baked beans. Yum. The smell of the smoke was enough to make your mouth water ready for a real treat.
The market will be open every Saturday from 7 til 10 a.m. through September. If we have enough interest from vendors and customers we will stay open through October. Stay tuned.
The winner of our $25 drawing was Jack Wallace from Starkville. Even though the Prairie Arts Festival was going on, many vendors and customers stopped in Maben before going on to enjoy the activities in West Point.
