Methodist fall sale
Come join us for our fall sale in the fellowship hall of Mathiston United Methodist Church on Highway 15.
Delicious home-baked goodies and white elephant items will be featured. The sale is set for Sept. 7 from 8 a.m.-noon. This event is sponsored by the United Methodist Women.
Clothes for Christ
Clothes will be available free to those in need during Clothes for Christ from 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 7 in the family life center at Double Springs Baptist Church. Call Bro. Chris at 323-1107 or Ms. Gay at 769-6873 for more information.
The Dorroh Lake annual meeting will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Dorroh Lake Baptist Assembly chapel. For questions, contact Ginger Castle at 258-7545.
Sapa Baptist Church will be in revival beginning Sept. 8 with the Rev. John Foles from Bethel Baptist Church in Sumiton Ala. He and his wife, formerly Tommie Gail Burgess, are originally from Maben.
Music will be provided by Chris and Anita Jenkins from the group Joyful Noise from Ackerman. Services are Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday services begin at 7 p.m. Lunch will be provided in the fellowship hall following the morning worship on Sunday. Finger foods will be provided after the Wednesday night service.
The Rev. Adam Berry, pastor, and the congregation at Sapa invite the public to come worship with them.
Revival services at Pine Forest Baptist Church located 7 miles north of Stewart will be Sept. 8-11.
Bro. Sid Vaughn of Vaiden will be the speaker at 11 a.m. Sunday. Lunch will be served after the service and supper will be served at 6 p.m. Sunday. Sunday night through Wednesday night services will be at 7.
The revival team for each nightly service will be Bro. Travis Gray, pastor of First Baptist Church in Eupora. Bro. Jason Jason of FBC Eupora will lead the music and Terry Cain of First Baptist will be the pianist.

Lollars Grove Baptist Church will conduct revival services Sept. 8-11.
Sunday morning service will be at 11 a.m. and Sunday through Wednesday evening services will be at 70 p.m. The Rev Mike Smith, pastor of First Baptist Church of Calhoun City, will be the visiting evangelist. The music will be under the direction of Gina Bell, the church’s music director. A potluck meal will follow the Sunday morning service. The pastor, the Rev. William Weddle, and the congregation invite the public to worship with them.
benefit Sept. 14
Calvary Baptist Church is sponsoring a benefit for member Carolyn Womack, who has survived an illness after being hospitalized more than two months, including three weeks in intensive care.
Calvary Baptist is asking for help from sister churches, community organizations, businesses and individuals to donate items for an auction or buy a meal.

Revival: Tomnolen Baptist Church will have revival Sept. 15-18. Service times are 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, and 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. The Rev. Jerry East will be the evangelist. Rusty & B.J. McCool and Sonja Parish will lead the music.
Centennial: Tomnolen Baptist Church is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the congregation’s ministry of serving the Lord and the community on Sept. 29.
The celebration will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a time of remembering and worship. Dr. Jim Futral will be the keynote speaker.
After the morning service, a luncheon will be served. A time of sharing memories and enjoying the fellowship of past and present members will conclude the centennial activities.

The 2013 See You at the Pole rally will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at Wood College. This event is for students in grades 7-12.
Revival at Fellowship Baptist Church in Bellefontaine will be Sept. 22-25. Service times are 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.
Evangelist will be the Rev. Tim Hudson, pastor of Clarkson Baptist Church.
Wounded Women “Healing a Wounded Generation” will be Sept. 28 from 9 a.m.-noon at World Harvest Outreach Ministries. Pre-registration is $10 and the deadline to pre-register is Sept. 22. Registration the day of the conference is $12 from 8:15-8:55 a.m. A light breakfast will be served at 8:15 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon.
