Drug arrest made; break-in committed

Local law enforcement officers made a drug arrest Saturday night following a traffic stop.

Officer Mitch Jackson of the Eupora Police Department conducted the traffic stop on Gold Street in Eupora at 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Casey Henderson, along with his K-9 unit, backed up Jackson.

As a result of the traffic stop, Krystal Michelle Hill, 28, of Eupora was arrested and charged with felony possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of First Baptist Church in Eupora and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, according to a release from the EPD. Bond was set at $5,000.

“I would like to thank the Webster County Sheriff’s Department along with Deputy Henderson and his K-9 unit for their assistance,” Police Chief Gregg Hunter said.

Pounds Sporting

Goods burglary

An unknown person or persons broke into Pounds Sporting Goods located on Gwenn Ray Drive in Eupora by breaking out the door glass around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Hunter said.

Once inside, the burglar or burglars stole a Toshiba laptop computer, a model 1200 12-gauge shotgun with camouflage tape on it, a crossbow with scope and a Crossman air rifle with scope.
