Local youth compete in horse shows

Webster County was represented by exceptional youth at this year’s district and state horse shows.

The 2013 District Horse Show took place at the Horse Park in Starkville and the 2013 State Horse Show took place at the Fairgrounds in Jackson. Webster County competed in both riding and non-riding events on a district and state level.

Kathrine Rowlen and Justin Crowley qualified and exhibited their animals at the 2013 State 4-H Show. In addition Webster County had two 4-H members competing in non-riding events.

Madi Morris competed in Junior Horse Judging at both district and state, and Roseanna Morris competed in Senior Horse Judging at the State Judging contest. Madi Morris received High Individual Overall at the District Horse Judging Contest, and both Madi and Roseanna Morris placed in the top three in oral reasons at the State Horse Judging Contest.
