Joan Grice Brown

Winona

Services for Joan Grice Brown, 79, of Winona were Aug. 7, 2013, at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born May 24, 1934, in Winona to the late William Lonnie and Helen Idell Steen Grice. Mrs. Brown died Aug. 3, 2013, at home.

Survivors include her husband, William Terry Brown; three sons, Terry of Greenwood, Jim of Stewart and Pat of Oxford; a daughter, Anita of Winona; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Scott Brown, Will Brown, Heath Grice, Shawn Maddox, Thomas Morton and Pat Rollins.

Memorials may be made to Moore Memorial UMC, 201 Magnolia St.; Winona Christian School, 1014 S Applegate St.; or Immanuel Episcopal Church, 416 Summit St.; all Winona, MS 38967.

Lee Funeral Home in Winona was in charge of arrangements.

 

Nettie M. Burchfield

Services for Nettie M. Burchfield, 86, of Ackerman were Aug. 7, 2013, at Ackerman Baptist Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville.

She was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Winston County to the late James Harvey and Myrtle Bennett Myres. Mrs. Burchfield was a former teacher and attended Ackerman Baptist Church. She died Aug. 4, 2013, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Burchfield of Ackerman; a daughter, Jodie Burchfield of Jackson; six sons, Phil Burchfield of Clinton, Mike Burchfield and Jay Burchfield of Cleveland, Tim Burchfield of Pontotoc, John Burchfield of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Teague Burchfield of Clinton; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Collin Burchfield and Piercen Burchfield of Pontotoc also survive her.

Memorials may be made to Ackerman Baptist Church.

Inez Henderson

Services for Inez Missouri Neal Henderson, 89, of Eupora were Aug. 6, 2013, at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Rev, Mike Ramage officiating. Burial was in North Union Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 4, 1924, to the late Jim Ben and Mabel Hood Neal. Mrs. Henderson was a lifelong resident of Walthall. She died Aug. 3, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Survivors include a son, Dannie Henderson of Walthall; two daughters, Jettie Lucius of Walthall and Kathie Collins of Columbus; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jason Fields, Casey Henderson, Hal Lucius, Austin McGinnis, Bill Morrow and Benny Neal.

 

Jimmy O. Livingston

Services for Jimmy O. Livingston, 68, of Sturgis were Aug. 2, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Bradley with the Revs. Wayne Hill and Mike Sanders officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was born May 31, 1945, in Louisville. Mr. Livingston served as a member of the National Guard. He died July 31, 2013, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Brown Livingston of Sturgis; two sons, Justin D. Livingston of Eupora and Scottie K. Livingston of Sturgis; two daughters, Misty L. Lewis of Sturgis and Christy L. Robinson of Hazard, Ky.; a brother, David Livingston of Louisville; four sisters, Margaret Betts of Sturgis, Earlene Edwards and Sylvia Gregory of Louisville, and Sharon Miles of Starkville; his mother, Maudine Livingston of Louisville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church or Gentiva Hospice.

Willie Louie Ray

Services for Willie Louie Ray, 77, of West Point were Aug. 4, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Revs. Dathan Lambeth and James Towery officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Ray was a retired equipment operator with B&W Manufacturing. He died Aug. 2, 2013, at his residence.

Survivors include a daughter; Linda Gail Koleski of West Point; a son, Thomas W. Ray of West Point; a sister; Abbie Rico of Eupora; two brothers; Vernon Ray and Milton Ray of West Point; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Chance Bateman, Jeff Peeples, Mike Ray, Wayne Ray, James Rico, Cody Traylor and Eddie White.

 

Earnestine Robinson

Aug. 1, 2013

Services for Earnestine Robinson. 60, of Eupora will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 9, 2013, at Mt. Union M.B. Church in Eupora with the Rev. Andrew Windrick officiating. Burial will be in Eupora City Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 8 at Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home in Winona and from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church on Friday.

Mrs. Robinson was a laborer and member of Household of Faith Church. She died Aug. 1, 2013, at her residence.

Survivors include two daughters, Asoria Robinson and Felicia Robinson of Eupora; three sons, Joe Robinson and Antoine Robinson of Eupora, and William Robinson of Tupelo; three sisters, Elaine Rush and Vanessa Jackson of Eupora, and Jackie Guyton of Ridgeland; three brothers, Milton Rush and Charles Pittman of Eupora, and Robert Rush of Jackson; her mother, Stella Pittman of Eupora; and 20 grandchildren.
