Webster, Choctaw and Montgomery County officials on Wednesday were scheduled to sign a resolution establishing the Regional Economic Partnership of Mississippi.
Members of the boards of supervisors from the three counties were to sign the resolution at the North Central Planning and Development District office in Winona.
The partnership will be a tri-county regional economic development organization with a governing board of directors from the three counties.
The partnership was established to emphasize, identify and target new business and industrial development, support existing business retention and expansion, market the partnership region and provide community education of the economic development process.
Upon the signing of the resolution to establish REPMS, the resolution will then be sent to the Mississippi attorney general’s office for ratification.
