Walthall Baptist

Walthall Baptist Church, 6775 MS Hwy. 9, is having a rummage sale from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 3.

Many good items will be available, as will carryout grilled hamburger plates ($6) and hotdog plates ($4). All proceeds will go toward mission trips.

Pleasant Hill

Pleasant Hill M.B. Church invites the public, soloists, groups, choirs and praise teams to Choirs Night at 6 p.m. Aug. 3.

Calvary Baptist

Calvary Baptist Church will be in revival beginning Aug. 4 at 6 p.m.

Services Monday through Wednesday nights will begin at 7. The Rev. Kenneth Reaves will be speaking each night and music will be under the direction of Justin Boatman.

Grove Chapel

Revival services at Grove Chapel M.B. Church will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 5-9. The Rev Robert Avant, pastor of the Brushfork Baptist Church of Macon, will be the guest speaker. Grove Chapel is located at 281 Fifth Ave. in Maben.

Prayer Breakfast

A Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be at 6:45 a.m. Aug. 7 in the First Baptist Church fellowship hall. Men from throughout the community are invited to attend. For more information about FBC Eupora, go to

Pine Forest


Pine Forest Baptist Church located 7 miles north of Stewart will celebrate its 105th birthday at 11 a.m. Aug 11. A covered-dish lunch will be served after the service.

The Rev. Joseph Sansing, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church in Carroll County, will bring the message. His father, the late John Clarke Sansing, served as pastor of Pine Forest Church from 1969-70.

The Rev. Johnny Walker and the congregation at Pine Forest invite everyone to attend this milestone event in the ministry of the church.

Eupora FBC

First Baptist Church of Eupora will be happy to pick up children, senior citizens and anyone who would like to attend Sunday School at FBC Eupora, but does not have transportation.

Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. To schedule a time for bus pickup for Sunday School, contact the church office weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. by calling 258-3491. The church cannot schedule pickup on Saturdays or Sunday mornings.
