Allie Kate Collum Box

Services for Allie Kate Collum Box, 79, of Eupora were July 20, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Rev. Warren Hunt officiating. Burial was in McCurtain’s Creek Cemetery in Choctaw County.

She was a retired homemaker and member of Bear Creek Baptist Church in Attala County. Mrs. Box died July 18, 2013, at Golden LivingCenter-Eupora.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Lanny Collum of Mathiston; one grandson and one great-grandson.

 

Johnnie Rachel Flanagan

July 20, 2013

Services for Johnnie Rachel Flanagan, 77, of Kilmichael were July 23, 2013, at Kilmichael Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Jackson officiating. Burial was in Friendship 
Cemetery.

The daughter of the late John and Hester Woodruff Floyd, she was a retired teacher and member of 
Kilmichael Baptist Church. Mrs. Flanagan was also a member of the Dorcas Sunday School 
class at Kilmichael Baptist Church and a member of the MRPEA.  She died of heart failure at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on 
July 20, 2013.

Survivors include a daughter, Racine Hodges of Eupora; two sons, Barry Flanagan 
of Blue Springs and Rudy Flanagan of Kilmichael; four grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.

 

Freddie Estel Parker Sr.

July 13, 2013

Services for Freddie Estel Parker Sr., 65, of Maben were July 19, 2013 at Wood Springs Baptist Church in Choctaw County with the Rev. Wade Stevens officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Parker died July 13, 2013, in Maben.

Pallbearers were Wade Jones, Justin Mann, Wayne Mann, Josh McPherson, Darrell Williams and Robert Williams.

Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.

 

Maurine Smith

July 16, 2013

Services for Maurine Smith, 88, of Mathiston were July 19, 2013, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Choctaw County with the Rev. Ralph Cain officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

A retired factory employee and homemaker, Mrs. Smith was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She died July 16, 2013, at Brooklyn Hall Nursing Home in Mathiston.

Survivors include two daughters, Agnes Hobson of Pearl and Rose Burton of Ackerman; four sons, John Allen Smith of Starkville, and Eckle R. Smith, Eddie Smith and Jimmy Smith of Mathiston; a sister; Dealean Pruden of Louise; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers were Justin Allen, Lee Allen, Kyle Burns, Ben Burton, Virgil Burton, David Hobson, Michael Hobson, Daniel Smith, Eckle Smith Jr., Jason Smith, Johnny Smith and Ronald Smith.

Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.
