Services for Agnes Boggan Blaine, 99, were July 16, 2013, at the South Union Methodist Church arbor near Ackerman with the Revs. George Buell, Ed Saunders and Bryan Carrubba officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She was born April 17, 1914, in Choctaw County. Mrs. Blaine was a member of South Union Methodist Church. She died July 13, 2013, at her residence in Ackerman.
Survivors include three sons, C.E. “Chuck” Blaine and Wade Blaine of Ackerman, and James Clyde “Bud” Blaine of Greenville; a daughter, Dorothy Faye Robin of Edmond, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the South Union Cemetery Fund.

Mrs. Patsey Embry Bowers
Mrs. Patsey Embry Bowers,71, homemaker, died Friday, July 12, 2013 in the Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with burial to follow in the Eupora City Cemetery in Eupora. Rev. Ed McDaniel will officiate, assisted by Rev. Jeep Pepper. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, 7/16/13 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her son-in-law and her nephews. Mrs. Bowers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood, MS. Survivors include her husband, Cecil Bowers of Oxford, MS; two daughters: Lisa Riales and husband Richard of Collierville, TN, and Kay Bowers of Greenwood, MS; three grandchildren, Jacob Riales, Emma Riales, and Preston Riales. Mrs. Bowers had a leadership role with the Mississippi Federation of Women’s Clubs, she was troop leader with the Girl Scouts of America, member of several garden clubs, and she had a passion for genealogical research.
