North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora will offer a two-day shadowing program on July 22-23 for students who will be entering into the 10th through 12th grades in the fall.
The students will be able to choose a clinical area they are interested in and shadow someone in that area to see if that is an area they would be interested in working later on in life. The clinical areas are Nursing (ER and Acute Care), EMS (paramedics), Respiratory, Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Dietary.
If your child is interested in participating in this program, contact the NMMC-Eupora Education Department at 258-9311 or 258-9306 for more information and to register your child. Sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
The United Blood Services bloodmobile will be at Piggly Wiggly in Mathiston from 3-7:15 p.m. July 23 and at FATCO, Eupora, from 3-7 p.m. July 24.
The 2013 Dirty Bird Football Camp will be July 23-25 at the Eupora practice field from 9 a.m.-noon daily.
The camp is for students entering grades 3-6 and the cost is $50. Each student will receive instruction on skills related to the game, camp T-shirt and free admission to Meet the Eagles Night.
Pre-registration is 5-7 p.m. July 22 at the fieldhouse. One may also register on the 23rd between 8-8:45 a.m. Proof of insurance must be provided.
The Civic League of Mathiston will be hosting a gospel singing in Mathiston’s park on July 26 beginning at 7 p.m.
Anyone interested in singing may contact Beverly Brown at 295-5147 or Betty Jeffcoats at 312-8724 to be placed on the lineup.
While the Civic League will try to accompany everyone who would like to sing, it hopes to have the lineup finalized by July 25.
This is open to soloists as well as groups. Equipment will be set up for everyone to use, whether they sing from a CD or have a musical group that will be playing.
“We will also have food for sale that night, and we invite everyone to come bring their lawn chairs and enjoy our first-ever gospel singing worshipping our Lord in song and praise.”
The annual Wiley Wright reunion will be July 28 at the VFW building on VFW Road off Hwy. 182 east of Eupora. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., lunch at noon and a meeting at 1:30 p.m. Bring a covered dish and come enjoy the day. For more information, contact Patricia Wright Christopher at 263-4505.
The annual Avery-Lankford reunion will be July 28 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Duck Hill Community Center.
All descendants of Daniel Hardy Avery and his wife, Frances Simmons Avery, and descendants of Fannie Avery Hendricks Dulaney are invited to attend.
A potluck lunch will be served at noon.
Ice Cream Bash
The Webster County Extension Office will host an end-of-summer Ice Cream Bash from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 1 at the playground behind Eupora First United Methodist Church (fenced area across from Wise Funeral Home). Park cars on Holman.

EHS Class of
The Eupora High School Class of 1968 will celebrate its 45th class reunion on Aug. 3 at the Eupora Country Club.
The agenda includes a tour of EHS at 4 p.m., social hour at the Country Club at 5 and dinner at 6:30. All classmates are encouraged to attend this fun-filled day.
Eupora peewee football/cheerleader registration is under way through Aug. 9 at Eupora City Hall.
