Montevista News:

Mr. J.H. Pepper spent last weekend with his daughter, Mrs. Iva Low at Tunica.

Mr. Hugh Tabb McDade of Doddsville visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Tabb and attended church here on Sunday.

Mrs. Callie Mitchell of Maben is visiting her sister, Mrs. J.H. Pepper this week.

Several from here enjoyed the Harp singing at Bethlehem last Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crowley of Clarkson attended church here Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Watson Scarbrough and baby of Hardintown spent last weekend with their brother, Mr. William Scarbrough and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Henry Young and children and Mrs. Kate Orman of Memphis were visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Walker last week.

Miss Aileen Alexander was a guest of Misses Ethel and Ina Palmer Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob White and sons of Greenwood were Sunday guests in the W.R. Scott home.

Mr. W.F. Palmer and family had as their guests Sunday the Kilpatrick family of Choctaw County.

Mr. D.L. Springer and family spent Sunday with relatives near Woodland.

Mr. and Mrs. A.C. McDowell and family were recent visitors to relatives in Birmingham. Little Joan McDowell returned home with them for a visit.

Little Wilbur and Henry Faulkner and sister, Clytee, who have been guests in the D.L. Springer home returned to their home on Sunday.

Mrs. Wiley Sibley and Nelda visited Mr. and Mrs. James Camp Wednesday and Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gatlin and family visited the Roy Ray home on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Millard Ray and children went to Itta Bena to attend the wedding of their daughter, Mary Ann, on Friday.

Barbara Connell visited Barbara Ray on Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Files and children of South Carolina visited relatives there this week.

Mrs. Roy Ray, Mrs. Charles O’Neal, and Mrs. Charlie Gatlin visited Mrs. Bill Gatlin, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rowe and children Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ray and children visited in the A.E. Swindoll home on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kilpatrick visited in the William Taylor and Lorene Harris home last weekend. Johnny is spending some time with Billy Taylor.

Mr. and Mrs. Maston Latham and Gail were Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Latham and Steve.

Mr. and Mrs. Grad Edwin called a while on the fourth with Mr. and Mrs. Levi Sellars and family.

Miss Ida Marie Pearson spent the weekend with Mrs. Ivy Joy Earley and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Schaefer and Hugh and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Patridge and children were dinner guests Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schaefer.

Mrs. Edd Griffin and baby spent a while Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Wayne Patridge.

Mrs. R.L. Cooker spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cooke.

Mr. and Mrs. Fuller Cooke of Columbus spent Wednesday with Mrs. R.L. Cooke.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hill and Mandy and Michael spent the weekend at Jackson enjoying a short vacation.

Enjoying the 4th with Mrs. R.L. Cooke and relatives were Mrs. B.E. Dickinson, Mr. Jerry Gentry and Amy of Memphis.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cooper and boys spent the 4th with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Venice Cooper.

Mr. and Mrs. Sammie Rogers and boys visited with parents on Monday, the Charles Britt family at Springhill.

The James Camp family visited Mrs. Ivy Sibley on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Vaughan and daughter visited the William Taylor family over the weekend.

Betty Ray and Tom visited the Files family on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Luther Turner and Bill visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stafford in Hattiesburg over the weekend.

Abbie Crowley and Laura Hitt visited Jeannie Watson recently.
