Larry Noble Mays

Services for Larry Noble Mays, 65, of Moss Point, formerly of Eupora, were June 30, 2013, at Dumas Chapel Methodist Church. Burial was in North Union Cemetery.

He died June 26, 2013.

Survivors include a daughter, Shekelia S Roberson; a sister,

Jenell Williams; and two grandchildren.

Roberts & Sons Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

 

Thomas Allen Patterson

June 22, 2013

Services for Thomas Allen Patterson, 68, of Eupora were June 28, 2013 at Eupora High School’s Latham Auditorium with the Rev. Harvey Conley officiating. Burial was in Churchill Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 5, 1944, in Webster County to the late Leslie B. and Christine Patterson. Mr. Patterson attended Webster County Training School. He received a bachelor’s degree at Rust College and a master’s degree at Mississippi State University. He was a retired educator at Webster County Schools who taught, coached and served as assistant principal for a combination of 37 years. Mr. Patterson was a member of Mount Union Missionary Baptist Church. He died June 22, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Survivors include his wife of 47-plus years, Earnestene Ringo Patterson; a daughter, Lisa Patterson; a son, Marckell Patterson; a sister, Sarah; six brothers, Curtis Patterson, Willie Patterson, Sammy Patterson, Larry Patterson, Clyde Patterson and David Patterson; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Clark-Williams Funeral Home of Grenada was in charge of arrangements.

 

Betty Jewell Manus Weeks

June 28, 2013

Services for Betty Jewell Manus Weeks, 72, were June 30, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Rev. Martin Jacks officiating. Burial was in William Springs Cemetery in Choctaw County.

Mrs. Weeks, a homemaker, was a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Choctaw County. She died June 20, 2013, at her residence in Stewart.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Weeks of Stewart; a daughter, Karol Weeks Lane of Stewart; a son, Terry Weeks of Weir; a sister, Mearl Nail of Stewart; a brother, Carl Manus Jr. of Tomnolen; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Raymond Gillon Jr., Randy Henson and B.J. Ivy, Chris Lane, Doug Weeks, James Dale Weeks.

 

Earline Bailey Williams

June 28, 2013

Services for Earline Bailey Williams, 84, of Eupora were July 1, 2013, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Revs. William Carpenter and Stanley Dorroh officiating. Burial was in Lollars Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was a retired homemaker and member of Lollars Grove Baptist Church. She died June 28, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Dale Williams and Tom Jack Williams of Mathiston; three brothers, Clyde Bailey and Otis Bailey of Houston, and Eddie Martin Bailey of Vardaman; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kendale Durham, Willie Lott, Brad Williams, Dustin Williams, Keith Williams and Taylor Williams.
