NMMC-Eupora to host shadowing program
North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora will offer a two-day shadowing program on July 22-23 for students who will be entering into the 10th through 12th grades in the fall.
The students will be able to choose a clinical area they are interested in and shadow someone in that area to see if that is an area they would be interested in working later on in life. The clinical areas are Nursing (ER and Acute Care), EMS (paramedics), Respiratory, Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Dietary.
If your child is interested in participating in this program, contact the NMMC-Eupora Education Department at 258-9311 or 258-9306 for more information and to register your child. Sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
The annual Avery-Lankford reunion will be July 28 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Duck Hill Community Center.
All descendants of Daniel Hardy Avery and his wife, Frances Simmons Avery, and descendants of Fannie Avery Hendricks Dulaney are invited to attend.
A potluck lunch will be served at noon.
Mathiston Library Story Hour
The Mathiston Public Library has Story Hour and activities for children of all ages every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Story Hour is directed by Jill Carroll.

Bingo is every Saturday at 6 p.m. at VFW Post 3806 in Eupora.
Boil-water alert lifted
A boil-water notice that the Webster Center Water Association had been under was lifted June 27, according to Billy Smith, president of the water system.
This affected about 300 customers in the area.
The alert was issued June 12 because of a systemwide pressure loss following a line break on Mount Vernon Road.
Victory by Faith Ministries

The Webster County Baptist Association will sponsor a disaster relief training event July 20 at First Baptist Church of Eupora.
