East Webster’s McKee to play in all-star game

A East Webster senior will be representing the Wolverines once again on Saturday in the D.M. Howie MHSAA All-Star Baseball game set for Smith-Wills Stadium.

Cody McKee of EWHS will take part in the 1A-2A-3A game at 1 p.m., while the 4A-5A-6A game is set for a 5:30 p.m. first-pitch.

Other area players joining McKee on the 18-man North squad in the1A/2A/3A contest are Daniel Storm Pannell and Hunter Hastings of Booneville, and Russell Johnson and Hunter Schrock of Hatley. Coaching the squad will be Jeff Wood of Alcorn Central and Daniel Threadgill of Kossuth.

Area players taking part in the 4A/5A/6A All-Star game for the North team are Landon Boyd of New Hope and Tanner Poole of Amory. The North team is coached by Chad Anthony of North Pontotoc and Gerald Petyon of Yazoo City.
